Matthew Harrill lives in South-Western England, in a town nestled on the edge of the beautiful Cotswold Hills.

He grew up in the region, and loves it for what it is, a stunning area full of many colourful characters. More than a few of which may or may not have had some influence on the characters you read about in his books. Other influences on the story include the extensive fantasy library built up over many years, a degree in Geology and a fondness for occult reference books.

He counts amongst his biggest influences the Fantasy novellists David Farland and Juliet E McKenna, both of whom he is proud and honoured to call friends.

Currently he toils away by day setting up share plans for EDS, or Excellerate HRO as they like to be known, while at night he runs the Official Runelords forum (see the main page for the link).

He is married with three children.
